Download Snow White's Sorry Poem‘Snow White’s Sorry Poem’ is the Poem of the Month because it reflects on the terrible consequences of our colonization which is something we always need to be mindful of, as we work towards greater healing and true reconciliation with the First Australians we displaced, when our ancestors came. This poem is a personal reflection from my own experience and a personal apology. However, by sharing it, I hope to contribute to the national conversation we need to have, in order to honour the sustained hope of those like Oodgeroo Noonuccal, Vincent Lingiari and Eddie Mabo who have worked tirelessly to overcome the pain and discrimination that has characterized our first 200 years as a nation.
